Working Days Over for $10 million Australian Powerball Winners

The tears began to flow last week for a man from Bundaberg in Queensland, Australia. That wasn’t too surprising as he’d just been told about his $10 million Australian Powerball win. Now his working days are over.

His success came in the draw held on March 6. His was the only ticket that won a division one prize. He also had 19 division two wins and ended up winning $10,313,821.10.

It was late in the evening when he received a phone call informing him of his amazing luck.  That is also how a $60 million Australian Powerball winner in February  found out he’d won.

The lucky player said: “I feel like crying.” It wasn’t long before that was true and the tears began to appear in his eyes.

He has asked to remain anonymous but we do know that the Australian Powerball winner is married. They have worked hard all their life but their working days are now over.

No more financial stress

“All I’ve ever wanted is not to stress about money,” he declared and that’s what lies ahead for him now. He added: “I’m not going to be one of those people who lose it all.”

Also celebrating becoming a lottery millionaire 24 hours earlier was a father from Frenchs Forest in northern Sydney, Australia.

He won $1 million playing the Weekday Windfall draw. He also found out about his big win just before going to bed. Unlike the $10 million winner though, he discovered his big win himself.

Freak out

“I turned all red and felt quite hot,” said the shocked winner. His partner wondered what was happening. They both “started to freak out” when he told her their amazing news.

When he woke up the next morning, he wondered if it all had been a dream. That also happened to  a £500,000 Thunderball winner.

He plans to cut his working hours and help his family “as much as possible.” Making some investments and buying a property is also being planned by the lottery winner..
