Will You Win Tonight’s €160 million (£135 million) EuroMillions Jackpot?
Tonight’s EuroMillions draw has a magnificent €160 million (£135 million) jackpot. Will a ticket purchased from Lottery24 see you become a multi-millionaire this evening?
Already millionaires are Dave and Sarah Williams from Cardiff in Wales. They won £1 million in the EuroMillions draw held on May 21.
Dave, 58, runs a motor repair business but thanks to this big win he’s now going to let his daughter take over. Doing so will allow the couple to travel around the UK and in time, the world too.
Tough times
The EuroMillions win comes after a tough few years for the couple. Dave has had treatment for throat cancer and sadly lost half his jaw because of it. His wife, 55, has also suffered from poor health including inflammation of her spine.
However, Dave says: “While it’s been tough, we’re still here.” He described their win as being like “the light at the end of a very long tunnel” and joked: “For once, it’s not the train coming towards us!”
When he first checked his EuroMillions ticket, he believed it had won £100,000. He called the National Lottery to get his win confirmed and told them how much he thought had been won. Then he was put on hold and he wasn’t sure why.
He thought perhaps his win was only £10 but was then told it was actually £1 million. In shock he spent the next five minutes swearing. At least he didn’t fall off his chair as a recent $70 million Lotto Max winner did.
Don’t be Stupid
When he’d calmed down, his next task was to tell his wife their amazing news. Not that she believed a word of what he was saying and told him not to be so stupid. Her tone changed when her husband showed her the winning ticket.
Dave is now looking forward to making some investments and buying their dream home. Then it’ll be time to go traveling in their campervan. Overseas holidays are a possibility if his wife can get over her fear of flying.
