Will We See A Big Winner in Friday’s EuroMillions Superdraw?
The last day of February saw a ticket sold in Belgium win the €52.4 million EuroMillions jackpot. Now we’re just two days away from Friday’s €130 million (£107 million) EuroMIllions Superdraw, will you be the winner?
Belgian success
We’re still waiting for news of who won the EuroMillions jackpot last Friday. The ticket that was sold in Belgium was the only one able to match 07-16-31-43-46 and the two Lucky Stars 05 and 09.
45 tickets sold in Belgium have now won a EuroMillions jackpot. This was their first jackpot win since a €149 million win last September.
That win came a fortnight after a rollover in a EuroMillions Superdraw. The next one is being held this Friday, have you bought your ticket yet? Who knows, it could make you a multi-millionaire!
The record win for a ticket sold in Belgium is the €168 million prize won nine years ago. The largest ever EuroMillions win by any player remains the €240 million won in 2023.
It’s just over 12 months since Richard and Debbie Nuttall from Colne in England won a fantastic £61.7 million EuroMillions jackpot. The lucky players held one of two tickets that won the jackpot, the other being sold in Spain.
£2.60?
They were on holiday in Fuerteventura when finding out about their win. However, when Richard checked his account, it had only gone up by £2.60. They carried on with their holiday but later in the day saw another email asking them to check their account. This time their £61.7 million win had been added.
Initially, Mr Nuttall thought it might be a scam and problems getting a mobile signal delayed them getting confirmation from the National Lottery.
How has their EuroMillions jackpot win changed their lives? Well, early retirement has been taken by the couple.
A new house in Lancashire was purchased and a holiday home in Portugal bought. Donations were made to the charity BK’s HEROES which had been created to remember Ms Nuttall’s cousin, Ben King.
