Tasmania Here I Come says $1 million Weekday Windfall Winner
When a woman from Hervey Bay in Queensland, Australia started receiving messages from the lottery company, she wondered what was happening. Then she found out about her $1 million Weekday Windfall win.
Her ticket was the only one able to match all the numbers in the August 14 draw and has made her a lottery millionaire.
The lucky winner hadn’t seen the results of the draw. Then the following morning several notifications were received suggesting she check her Weekday Windfall ticket.
How much?
Her husband had also received an email revealing a win had taken place. However, how much had been won was not revealed. His wife rushed to the newsagency to get the ticket checked. On her way a couple of calls from the lottery company were missed.
When finally discovering she’d won $1 million, the shocked player said: “Oh my! I can’t contain this!” The Weekday Windfall winner added: “I’ve always wanted to win division one, but I never expected it to happen to me.” Recently a male player in Queensland also won a $1 million Weekday Windfall prize.
Change of game
This is a lottery that the lucky player hasn’t been playing for too long as she explained: “I used to play Monday and Wednesday, but when an extra day was added to the game, I decided to switch my days up!”
Now that really was a great decision and it’s really paid off. What would you do if a big win came along? This player said that if a division one prize was won, she wouldn’t tell anyone about it. Now it’s finally happened, it’s all very different and she said: “It’s too hard to contain!”
Plans for the Weekday Windfall win include going back home to Tasmania. Before that though she declared: “I think I need a glass of bubbly to celebrate!”
Her winning ticket was bought at the Nextra Fraser Gateway Newsagency. That’s managed by Kylie Bromhead who said she’s immensely proud to hear that another division one winning ticket had been sold by the newsagency.
