Unemployed Man Delighted with $1 million Monday Lotto Win

Being unemployed puts a huge pressure on your finances. A  jobless man from Pakenham in Victoria, Australia has received a massive boost after winning $1 million in the Monday Lotto draw held on August 2.

The draw saw two winning division one entries and the Victoria player is still coming to terms with his win. He hadn’t checked the results of the Monday Lotto draw but his ticket was a registered one. That meant The Lott knew that his ticket was a winning one.

You can imagine his surprise therefore when they phoned him with the amazing life-changing news.  “This is unbelievable! What!?” was his reaction when told of his fantastic Monday Lotto success. “I feel like jumping up and down and screaming right now,” he added.

Once he settled down and began coming to terms with the news, he spoke about how much this win means to him. “I can’t explain how much this means to me. I recently was considering making tough changes in my life, but now, that doesn't have to happen.”

It’s not been an easy time for the Pakenham resident. He’s been in and out of work in recent months and that’s made his life an uneasy one. He certainly didn’t wake up that morning expecting to take his family out for a celebratory lunch. That’s just what happened though as his life suddenly took a turn for the better.

Now he plans on using his Monday Lotto windfall to pay off his mortgage and do some renovations. Again, a total turnaround from being a struggling out of work father. He added that there may be some other ways in which he can spend his $1 million win.

“'No doubt there will be a few holidays, and I might even get myself a boat for some big fishing trips,” the delighted Monday Lotto winner said.

The winning numbers in the draw were: 07, 40, 31, 11, 14 and 1, with the supplementary numbers16 and 43.
