The holder of a £1m EuroMillions winning ticket has just days to claim their prize before it is due to expire. Already this week a ticket worth £72,422 has gone unclaimed.The £1m ticket was purchased in North Tyneside, England, and matched the Millionaire Maker Code FPY442445 in the March 13 draw.Lottery millionaires Kim and Ian McCarthy from Darlington, who won a £1m EuroMillions prize in December 2012, have urged players to double-check their EuroMillions tickets. The ticket won £72,422 in the draw held on March 6 but no one has come forward to claim it. A National Lottery spokesman said: "We tried very hard to find the ticket-holder and it's a real shame that they have missed out, but there is still one winner - the nation." That's because the winnings plus the interest earned will now go towards helping National Lottery-funded projects.Earlier this year a £1m winning EuroMillions ticket sold in Liverpool, England,went unclaimed.
