UK Player Claims £111m EuroMillions Jackpot

It was a weekend to remember for the holder of a EuroMillions Superdraw ticket sold in the UK. It won the top prize of £111 million in the draw held on Friday 4 June. The winner has already come forward to claim their fantastic winnings, but no name has been disclosed.
In all, the lucky winner will receive £111,540,000 after matching the five main balls and the two Lucky Stars in Friday’s EuroMillions Superdraw. It’s the ninth largest UK win in EuroMillions history.

Lucky Numbers

The numbers drawn were: 07-20-36-40-46 and the two Lucky Stars 02 and 04. The EuroMillions jackpot winner’s name will only be disclosed if they wish, otherwise they can remain anonymous.
Three tickets matched the five main balls and one of the Lucky Stars to win €422,567.40. Those tickets that came so close to winning the EuroMillions jackpot were sold in France, Spain and Switzerland.
This is the 113th time a ticket sold in the UK has won a EuroMillions jackpot. The UK is now three wins clear of France at the top of the list of jackpot winners. If they could only do so well in the Eurovision Song Contest.

Bumper Year for UK

2021 is proving to be a bumper year in the EuroMillions draw for the UK. This is their fourth jackpot win of the year with over £330 million won. It’s the second time this year that a UK ticket has won over £100 million. Previously, a ticket won the £122.55 million top prize in the 2 April draw. 2020 saw the UK sell five winning jackpot tickets. Plenty of time therefore to match or better that figure.
It’s the latest in the series of big lottery wins. On May 21, a $515 million Mega Millions jackpot was won. The following day saw one ticket win a €156 million SuperEnalotto jackpot. Just a day after this big EuroMillions win, a $285 million Powerball jackpot was won by a ticket sold in Florida.
