UK EuroMillions winner scoops £115 million
The New Year got off to a fantastic start for one UK EuroMillions winner. The £115 million jackpot was won by one ticket bought in the UK.2019’s first big winner
came after the ticket-holder was able to match 01-08-11-25-28 and the Lucky Stars 04 and 06. The top four prize tiers saw 109 winners with 11 second-tier winners. Another ten ticket-holders each won £1m after matching the UK Million Maker Codes.

A delighted Andy Carter who is the senior winners’ adviser at The National Lottery, said: “What an amazing win and year ahead for one lucky UK ticket-holder. This win ranks at number four in the list of the biggest ever National Lottery winners and we look forward to helping them begin to enjoy their win.”No one has come forward to claim the fantastic EuroMillions jackpot yet. Mr Carter added: “All players are urged to check their tickets to see if they are a big winner and can turn 2019 into one long celebration.” This latest big win is the fourth highest windfall for a UK ticket-holder. The record remains at the £161m won by Colin and Chris Weir from Scotland who won a record £161m eight years ago.

2018 was a successful year for UK EuroMillions players. April saw a massive £121m won but the winner decided to remain anonymous. Lesley and Fred Higgins won a £58m jackpot, despite having their ticket torn in half by a shop clerk. Just before Christmas a £76m top prize was finally
claimed by Andrew Clark from Boston in Lincolnshire, England.
