Two Set for Life Wins for Lucky Lanarkshire

When you receive an email informing you of a lottery win, it can be a bit of a surprise. For Malcolm Garden from Lanark in Scotland, it led to the discovery of a Set for Life jackpot win. It’s the second big win in Lanarkshire in recent months.

The 54-year-old learned that he’d had three wins in the September 26 draw. The first two produced wins totalling £45 He couldn’t find the other but then remembered he’d bought a Lucky Dip. It was that which had won him £10,000 a month for a whole year.

Luxury Meal

 Malcolm works as a senior manager in clinical data management. After taking a while to come to terms with his Set for Life win, he contacted a close childhood friend. A celebratory dinner took place at a local Italian restaurant and they enjoyed the best lobster and champagne..

The Set for Life winner recently purchased a new home after returning home from the USA where he worked. He plans on using some of his winnings for house renovations.

Also planned is a trip to Portugal with a few of his friends. He’s a big golf fan so will be playing a few rounds while he’s there once he gets his clubs back from the USA. Or perhaps he might splash out on some new ones?.

Lanarkshire is a lucky place to play the Set for Life draw. July 21 saw 43-year-old Robert Brownlie also win £10,000 a month for a year. He’s been celebrating with his wife, Kelly and four boys, not to forget their huskie, Echo.

Ticket taken around the world

His winning ticket was purchased when in England attending a wedding. It was also a Lucky Dip that won him his Set for Life jackpot. It certainly traveled a few miles as before he claimed his win, he also took it with him on a holiday to Tenerife.

Some of the win will be used to pay for a family holiday in Mexico next year. A new sofa and table will be bought to replace the ones Echo has been chewing.
