Transatlantic Trio Celebrate Becoming Lottery Millionaires

In Michigan, USA, a 41-year-old woman went out to collect a pizza. On the way, she also bought a scratchcard and it won her $2 million.

The lucky lottery winner said that usually it’s her husband who buys them, not her. While waiting for her pizza, she decided to see if her purchase had won anything. “It was surreal when I realized I’d won $2 million,” said the shocked winner.

Immediately her husband was contacted. “I was so excited. I couldn't wait until I got home," the lottery winner explained. Plans for the $2 million include paying bills and going on holiday.

In Calgary, Canada, Teresa Passavanti is celebrating winning a $1 million lottery prize. Her success came in the March 20 Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball draw.

The baker was on her way to work when making the amazing discovery of her lottery win. It’s led to some sleepless nights since then for both her and family members. “We haven’t slept in days,” joked the lucky player.

The baker plans to visit family members in Italy and Germany. That will include seeing a recently born grand-child for the first time. Others will be helped out financially.

American Football fan

Also in Canada, Joshua Stan won $1 million playing Lotto 6/49.  “The first thought that came to mind was, ’How am I going to change my life and my family’s life?’” said the lottery winner.
