Three Melbourne Tickets All Win $1.45 million TattsLotto Prize

The July 3 TattsLotto draw was a great one for players in Melbourne, Australia. There were four division one winning entries in that draw, and three of them were sold in that city, each winning $1,455,804.95.

Just how loud would you be if discovering you’d become a TattsLotto millionaire? Well, one of the winners was a woman from Werribee and she screamed her head off when discovering her win. The noise alarmed her husband who ran down the stair afraid something was wrong.

Icing on the Cake

The couple had just returned home from a restaurant when the woman remembered her Tatts Lotto purchase. She checked her ticket and couldn’t believe she’d won a division one prize. The winner commented: “We have always been fortunate, so this is just the icing on the cake.The main thing we will do is share it with our family.”

Also winning was a man from Greensborough. He was finding it hard get to sleep so checked his TattsLotto tickets. What he discovered was hardly going to guarantee him a good night’s sleep. His first ticket won $8 which he thought “was alright.”

With the second, he thought he recognised some of the numbers and thought he’d won $1,000 but then looked again and saw he had matched all six numbers. The TattsLotto winner couldn’t believe his luck and kept on checking his ticket.  To get some normalcy in his life, he carried on going to work. “I generally have a very stressful job, but today, I feel very relaxed,” he joked.

He wants to be “smart” with his winnings and is going to see a financial advisor. Early retirement isn’t planned until next year. He wants to do some work on his house and help his family.

More Screaming

The third Melbourne winners were a couple from Ringwood. They also spent the night screaming after checking their TattsLotto ticket. Their win came after 50 years of playing the lottery. They will now be able to buy themselves a house with the rest saved for their future.
