The Inspiring Story of a $70 million Lotto Max Winner
Patricia Warden from Ottawa in Canada has claimed her $70 million Lotto Max jackpot. The winner then revealed details of her incredible and inspiring life.
The 49-year-old won her incredible jackpot in the Lotto Max draw held on May 31. When finally being presented with her winning cheque, the lucky winner became very emotional.
Warden told how she had been a teen mother, battled cancer, recovering from drug addiction and has now been sober for 25 years. It all seems much more of a challenge than picking some winning Lotto Max numbers.
When asked why she is a regular player of lottery games, Warden said: “I played because it’s fun just dreaming,”
Now the retired business owner wants to use her jackpot win to give back to the community and those she loves.
Big Dream
Her “big dream” is to open a ranch for addicts where education can be given to them. They’ll also be able to work with the animals, do therapy and above all have “a chance to quit.” As the Lotto Max winner says: “Everybody deserves love.”
Warden recalled the moment her Lotto Max win was discovered. At the time she was relaxing on her backyard deck and realized her left hand was itching. That’s seen by many as meaning you’re about to come into money. Never has that been so true as she checked her ticket and discovered the $70 million Lotto Max win.
Red face
“The first few numbers matched and I just lost it and started screaming,” she recalled. Her husband wondered what was going on and why his wife’s face was red.
“He came running to prevent me from falling off the deck,” she laughed. Another $70 million Lotto Max winner fell off his chair when finding out about his win.
Patricia wasn’t wearing her glasses so her husband suggested she check again. The app was looked at and it had a message saying “Big Winner.”
A new home will be bought with the winnings. Also, there’ll be homes purchased for her mother and daughter.
