Tattooist Wins £100,000 Postcode Lottery Prize

Some lottery winners decide to retire after a big win. Others use their windfall to help boost their business. That’s what Jake Brant from Wednesbury in England is going to do. He’s just won a £100,000 Postcode Lottery prize.

He owns the Seven Worlders Tattoo Parlour in nearby Walsall and now intends using some of his Postcode Lottery winnings to make his business the “best in the Midlands.”  

His win came just six weeks after moving to a new house and using its postcode. Ian Calver from Chelmsford  won a £111,111 prize using his old postcode.

Whim

Jake had previously cancelled his ticket after playing for a couple of years. After moving house, he signed up on a whim and that proved to be a great decision. David Baldwin from High Wycombe also  resumed playing and won £166,666.

The tattooist now plans to refurbish his studio but has other spending ideas too. A new Land Rover Defender is his dream purchase. The generous Postcode Lottery winner first wants to buy a new car for his girlfriend Zoe Langley  as her current one has just broken down. A trip to Florida with her is also being planned.

Not surprisingly, Jake has plenty of his own tattoos and is going to get a new one now. “I’m running out of room, but I’ll definitely get something in memory of this,” he said.

Also winning a £100,000 Postcode Lottery prize were Simon and Angela Angell. The steelworker wants to buy a Harley-Davidson motorbike but his wife isn’t so keen on the idea. Angela joked: “He promised he was never going to have another bike but of course, he's going to want one now."

Angela seems more interested in going on a cruise around Antarctica. That’s something she has wanted to experience for a long time but it’s an expensive trip.

“It’s going to be the holiday of a lifetime,” said the delighted Postcode Lottery winner. “We don’t need to go bog standard now, we can go deluxe or whatever we wish,” she added.
