Syndicate Celebrates After €1 million EuroMillions Win

A two-member syndicate from Dublin, Ireland  is celebrating a €1 million EuroMillions win in the November 22 draw. One of them is now finally going to be able to buy their own house.

The lucky EuroMillions players collected their winning cheque this week from Lottery HQ in Dublin. Speaking about their amazing slice of luck, one said they very nearly didn’t buy a ticket for the draw.

Only when seeing that the jackpot had grown to €190 million did they decide to purchase a EuroMIllions ticket from the Day Today store in Ongar village.

The other jubilant EuroMIllions winner says their share of the €1 million win will be used to help achieve a dream they’ve had for a long time. Their own home can now be purchased and the choice they will have is now far higher than before.

Long search

It’s been a tough time trying to find the ideal home to buy, the EuroMillions winner explained. “We’ve been searching for months without success, so this win couldn’t have come at a better time."

Four days after that draw, the EuroMillions jackpot was finally won.  A ticket sold in the UK won the £177 million EuroMillions top prize.

Also celebrating was another lucky lottery player from Dublin. They won €256,307 in the November 12 EuroMillions draw. Their lucky ticket was bought from the Nearby Store on North Circular Road in Phibsborough.

Quite unusual selection

The delighted EuroMIllions winner said that they regularly play the draw. Usually, they buy a quick pick ticket hoping to win a big prize. However, on this occasion he didn’t purchase a quick pick ticket.

He had the previous week though and “thought the numbers seemed quite unusual.”  Therefore, he decided to adopt those numbers and never dreamed they would instantly win him €256,307. “It was such a surprise - I was totally stunned,” they said when recalling the moment the win was discovered.

Perhaps those numbers will be lucky again tonight. This evening’s EuroMillions draw has a £32 million (€39 million) jackpot.
