€130m EuroMillions Superdraw Announced for September 24

Friday September 24 is a date to put in your diary. It’s been announced that a €130m (£111m) EuroMillions Superdraw will be held that evening. Will a ticket that you purchase from Lottery24 turn you into a multi-millionaire?

This is the third EuroMillions Superdraw of the year. The others held this year took place in February and June. In February, the Superdraw didn’t produce a winner and the jackpot kept rolling over until reaching a record cap of €210m. A ticket sold in Switzerland eventually won the record amount.

Another Superdraw Winner?

June’s EuroMillions Superdraw did produce a winner. It was a ticket that had been purchased in the UK that won the €130m (£111m) top prize. Two days after the June 4 draw, the winner came forward to claim their prize but has remained anonymous.

This September 24 EuroMillions Superdraw could lead to yet more history being made. If the Superdraw doesn’t produce a winner, the jackpot can keep rolling over all the way up to the new cap of €220m (£188.5m).

Two of the last three Superdraws have produced a rollover. For those held in September, three of the last four have seen a rollover. The most recent September win was last year. A ticket sold in Valladolid in Spain won the €130m jackpot. Will there be another winner later this month, perhaps even you?

It was back in 2007 that the first ever EuroMillions Superdraw was held. The higher than average increase in the jackpot is achieved by using money placed into what is called the Reserve Fund.

UK looking for more success

At present, the UK have sold the most winning EuroMillions jackpot tickets. 114 have been sold and that puts them two ahead of France and three clear of Spain. It’s already been a massive year for UK ticket holders with five EuroMillions jackpots being won with players receiving nearly £350m.

Spain have also had five EuroMillions jackpot winners in 2021. Just the two for France though, could they make it three in this EuroMillions Superdraw on September 24?
