Super Lucky Syndicate Wins $50 Australian Powerball Prize

There were two lucky winners in the $100 million Australian Powerball draw held on Thursday August 3. One ticket was purchased by a woman from Melbourne, Victoria and the other by the ‘Super Lucky’ syndicate in Sydney, New South Wales. Just one and half months ago, a player from Sydney  won a $100m Australian Powerball top prize.

The Melbourne winner was a mother who declared that “my kids mean the world to me.” Therefore she can’t wait to start treating them thanks to her $50 million Australian Powerball win.

Just in time 

It’s a win that very nearly didn’t happen. Her winning ticket was purchased online just before the deadline. The Melbourne mother didn’t watch the Australian Powerball draw live and it took a while for the lottery company to contact her. That’s because an incorrect email address had been given.

Finally the news of her $50 million Australian Powerball win was broken to her. At the time the winner was at work but that didn’t stop her cheering. Then her work colleagues joined in and work was forgotten for a while.

 “I’ve won $50 million? Oh my goodness!” said the shocked winner. “I can’t believe this. What a dream come true,” she added.

With this great win, the Australian Powerball winner will be able to ensure children have a secure future. It also means the end of her working days.

Super Lucky 

Also celebrating were the syndicate in Sydney. Their syndicate is called ‘Super Lucky’ and with a $50 million Australian Powerball win it’s lived up to its name.

Each of the 10 members will receive $5,077,673.41. One of the winners was watching football when finding out about the big win. His language turned rather blue at first which was understandable. .

He confessed to being in shock and said the news will change his life. The Australian Powerball winner said he couldn’t wait to tell his mother, though the language might be a bit toned down. He wasn’t sure if she’d believe the fantastic news.

Another of the syndicate winners said he was “dumbfounded” by the news. His wife just couldn’t stop crying.
