Spanish Ticket Wins €130 million EuroMillions Superdraw Jackpot
The EuroMillions Superdraw held last Friday produced a €130 million jackpot win. Now we’re waiting for success in both Mega Millions and Powerball with the combined lottery jackpots being over $1.5 billion.
Spanish success
Spanish eyes were smiling on Friday evening. A ticket sold in Barcelona was the only one able to match 01-04-31-34-40 and the two Lucky Stars 03 and 04.
It’s the 12th time that a ticket sold in Spain has won a EuroMillions Superdraw. Overall, it’s their 120th winning jackpot ticket (and second of 2024) putting them third behind the UK and France. This is the fifth EuroMillions jackpot win of the year and the second over €100 million.
Tonight’s EuroMillions jackpot is £14 million but much larger ones are available in the US at present.
Tenth highest Mega Millions jackpot
Friday night also saw the Mega Millions draw take place. No ticket was able to match the numbers drawn out and win the $815 million top prize. We’re still waiting for a jackpot win this year. The last win was in December 2023.
That means that this evening, the Mega Millions jackpot is $875 million. The cash value is an estimated $413.5 million. This evening’s jackpot will be the tenth highest jackpot in this lottery.
If there is a big winner tonight, how long will it take them to find out? Melena Hill from Portsmouth in Virginia, US won a $3 million prize in the January 9 Mega Millions draw but didn’t check her ticket right away. It actually spent five weeks on a nightstand until finally being checked.
Still no Powerball winner
The Powerball jackpot last night was $656 million but the draw ended in a rollover. That means that tomorrow the top prize will be a fantastic $687 million. There’s been no jackpot win since a Michigan ticket won $842.4 million on January 1.
Last October’s $1.7 billion Powerball jackpot winners have been revealed as a Californian syndicate headed by Theodorus Struyck. He’s now put up a sign outside his house saying ‘No Trespassing.’
