SOUTH WEST NATIONAL LOTTERY WINNERS COME TOGETHER FOR CHRISTMAS CHEER AT CHILDREN’S HOSPICE
A group of National Lottery winners from the South West of England have all come together to help children at a local hospice to celebrate the holiday season.The Little Bridge House, a children’s hospice in the South West, welcomed a group of visitors on Thursday as past lottery winner spent 24 hours building a giant gingerbread playhouse for children and their families to enjoy. The winners who have a combined wealth of £23 million arrived at Little Bridge House with paintbrushes and tools and set to work turning a simple wood cabin into a themed “gingerbread” house that would be filled with resources for children to play with. Recently a group of lottery winners from Suffolk teamed together to help a local hospice.The hospice director told National Lottery officials: “This has been such as exciting project to be a part of and we’re thrilled with the new gingerbread house that the winners created for us.” She continued to say that the hospice itself runs from donations and lottery winners giving up their time to help out has created a “magical place”. Other winners have helped out their local communities, including a group of National Lottery winners from the North West who helped local homeless young people and several National Lottery jackpot winners who helped to train dogs for people with disabilities in Sussex.One of the families which will be able to use the new gingerbread house at Little Bridge House is Sarah Ham and her two children who said that she was looking forward to her daughter Abigail having somewhere so lovely to play. “It’s going to be brilliant to be able to get Abigail doing things and to have somewhere completely accessible,” she said.Barry Maddox, whose partner Susan Richards won £3 million on a National Lottery scratch card last year, was one of the lottery winners who helped out, and he told lottery officials: “it’s been a lot of fun and a real pleasure to be able to be involved and put something back into this community.” A Canadian Lotto Max winner gave back to the community by helping the needy at Christmas.If you fancy getting yourself in on the winning, give yourself a chance by playing online now at Lottery24.com.
