“Should I Laugh or Cry?” Says $1.2 million Saturday Lotto Winner

Just how would you react if you won a huge lottery prize? A man from Berridale in New South Wales, Australia didn’t know if he was going to laugh or cry when finding out about his $1.2 million Saturday Lotto win.

“I can relax a bit.”

His amazing win came in the draw held on April 5. In total the lucky player will receive $1,260,543.17. He said his win had come at just the right time. Plans for his win include paying off his mortgage. Doing that he says means: “I can relax a bit and take it easy.”

As is probably so for most of us, the Saturday Lotto winner said: “I’ve been dreaming about this day.” He’s been playing lottery games for over ten years but usually never wins more than £30. The news of this slightly larger win was such a shock he admitted: “I don’t know whether to laugh or cry!”

Despite becoming a millionaire, he still went to work. That’s just like  a player who won a $15 million Oz Lotto jackpot.

“Couldn’t believe my eyes.”

Also winning $1.2 million in the April 5 Saturday Lotto draw was a father from Frankston in Melbourne. He was surprised when finding out about his win. “I couldn’t believe my eyes when I checked the Saturday Lotto results,” said the delighted winner.

The Saturday Lotto winner describes himself as a hard-working man and at one time had five jobs. Now he’s had this big win and it comes with his retirement not too far away. “I’m very much ready to retire,” he said.

One of his beliefs in life is helping others and that’s just what he will be doing now.  $40 million Lotto Max winner Elizabeth Trafford also made donations  after her win.

$100,000 will be given to his daughter. Other family members and friends who are experiencing tough times will be given $1,000. The generous winner added: “I hope that others in my local community can also have a win too!”
