Secret Revealed for £761,318 Postcode Lottery Winners
Benjamin and Faye from Martock in Somerset are celebrating after winning a £761,318 People’s Postcode Lottery prize. They were the largest winners in the £7.3 million September Postcode Millions draw but a big secret has now been revealed.
Secrets
The couple have been married for ten years but don’t always tell each other everything. Neither of the pair knew that the other had signed up to play the People’s Postcode Lottery. No wonder they were both in shock when learning that their postcode TA12 6BG had won, winning each of them £380,659.
Faye, who is a clinical waste industry worker, declared: “I’ve gone from shaking to being in complete disbelief.” Her husband, who is employed by the NHS as an IT worker, is already looking forward to spending their winnings.
Off around the world
High on their spending list is a holiday to Bora Bora. That’s somewhere that Benjamin has long wanted to visit. “It’s paradise on Earth,” he said, and the People’s Postcode Lottery winner can’t wait to stay in a water bungalow.
After that holiday, Faye wants to go to America. Her aunt lives in Georgia, but the plan is to finish off visiting every US state. “We've done around seven or eight so far. We might go to Philadelphia next, or we could do a road trip and visit a few different places,” said the delighted winner.
The couple also want to help their families. Benjamin’s parents live with them in a specially built log cabin in the garden. Sadly, his father has Parkinson’s and the couple want to be there for to help when his condition deteriorates. Faye commented that “The thing that was at the back of my mind was that, if we ever did win, we could do something for him. The win will let me spend more time at home now."
Others to win in the People’s Postcode Lottery draw included Nicola, who also works for the NHS. Her £14,030 will be used to marry her partner, Ian, in Greece next year.
