Same Store Sells Two $400,000 Winning TattsLotto Tickets
Two players both won a TattsLotto prize of $400,000 in the draw held on March 2. Incredibly, the two unrelated winners bought their lucky tickets from the very same shop in Melbourne, Australia. Last year a store in California, USA sold two Mega Million jackpot winning tickets.
Overall, they both won a total of $400,641.05. They’re both delighted to have gone to the HJ & FM Neagle newsagency in Niddrie to make their TattsLotto purchases.
Great boost
One of the lucky winners was a pensioner from Essendon. He says that his win is “such a great boost” His lottery success has come at a time when he’s not in the best of health and that has affected his speech.
He was well enough to say how this TattsLoto win will “help me so much.” Some players take a while to claim their winnings but not this one. "I didn't waste any time claiming that prize, that's for sure,” joked the delighted winner.
Loved every minute
These two wins have taken the number of division one winning tickets sold by the newsagency to 27. Those wins have come over a period of 52 years. The newsagency is co-owned by Paul and Sue Neagle. Paul said that the couple have “loved every minute” of all the division one winning lottery tickets they’ve sold.
He added that the winners most likely “couldn’t believe their eyes” when discovering their $400,000 TattsLotto win. It’s a special moment to have sold two division one winning tickets for the same draw. Paul said: “It's so wonderful to have this milestone and we will remember it for the rest of our lives."
The couple had already reached one significant milestone this year. 2024 marks sixty years since first selling lottery tickets.
The other $400,000 TattsLotto winner hasn’t gone public. Anna Hobdell is a spokesperson for The Lott and said: “While we may never know how they plan to enjoy their prize, we have no doubt they’re unable to stop smiling after discovering their $400,000 win.”
