Returning Holidaymaker Discovers $2 million Tatts Lotto Win

A man from Box Hill in Victoria, Australia, bought a TattsLotto ticket just before going on holiday. After a relaxing time, he returned home to find that his purchase had won a $2 million prize.

It was just before the November 27 TattsLotto draw that he bought his ticket. A week later he went on holiday with his wife. He was too busy having a good time to check his ticket, otherwise it would have been an even more enjoyable holiday.

No idea

The holidaying lucky winner admitted that he had no idea of his $2 million TattsLotto win. It was only on his return that he finally scanned his ticket on The Lott app. When discovering that his ticket had made him a millionaire, he admits to being “absolutely blown away” and not totally believing the amazing news.

Getting his wife to believe that their ticket was a jackpot winner wasn’t easy. “I showed my wife, and she didn't believe it, either. She told me that we couldn't talk about it until we'd received the money.”

With that being the case, the couple have been “tight-lipped” about their win.  They have decided to remain anonymous and only made a statement to lottery officials. “I couldn't believe it! It's so much more than I ever dreamed I'd win,” said the TattsLotto winner.

Letting the news sink in

The couple have been spending time making plans on how to use their winnings. They didn’t claim their TattsLotto winners right away, allowing themselves some time to let the news sink in.  Their mortgage will be paid off and some investments will be made with the rest saved.

 They obviously love going on holiday though and trips to Europe are planned. Perhaps if they buy a TattsLotto ticket beforehand, they might check It a little bit earlier. Before that though, the couple are planning to go out and have a big celebration.
