A 63-year-old grandmother of five from Limpopo in South Africa has won R57m (£3.07m) in the October 24 LOTTO draw and she can finally board an aeroplane.The LOTTO winner has remained anonymous just like the recent €4.43m Irish Lotto jackpot winners. She can’t read or write and has got poor eyesight too, admitting that when filling in her lottery ticket with randomly chosen numbers, “I was just guessing where the numbers are.”Gladys is a regular South African National Lottery player but her previous highest win is R50 (£2.69). Her policy is to re-invest all her winnings in the next draw, though that’s likely to have been discontinued.Her winning ticket was purchased in Germiston and It was her daughter who read out the winning LOTTO numbers that made her mother a millionaire. Her reaction was “God has answered my prayers,” then the dancing and an all-night celebration began. The winner has diabetes but now says “My life will be beautiful.
