£83 million EuroMillions Jackpot is Finally Claimed

After 13 days the £83 million EuroMillions jackpot won by a UK ticket  on January 24 has finally been claimed. We don’t know who the lucky lottery winner is and the successful player does have the right to remain anonymous.

Their total EuroMillions win is £83,474,081.80 and their ticket was the only one able to match 02-11-19-30-49 and the Lucky Stars 03 and 08.

“Absolutely incredible news”

Andy Carter, the senior winners' adviser at National Lottery operator Allwyn. He described the claiming of the EuroMillions jackpot as “"absolutely incredible news.”

Their claim now goes through the verification process. Once that is completed then the lucky lottery player will receive their fantastic prize.

Speaking about the success, Mr Carter said: “Everyone dreams of that huge win when they buy their EuroMillions ticket - and for this lucky ticket-holder this dream has become a reality.” He added: “Imagine all the possibilities that are now within their grasp."

This was the 131st UK ticket that has won a EuroMillions jackpot. Last year saw UK tickets win the jackpot four times,  the highest EuroMillions jackpot being the £177 million  won in November.

Tonight’s EuroMillions draw has a top prize of £43 million. Don’t forget  there’s a €130 million (approximately £110 million)  EuroMillions Superdraw  on March 7.

Sheffield success

Also celebrating a big lottery win is a player from Totley in Sheffield who has won an £800,000 Postcode Lottery prize. Two other neighbours won £400,000 each but this player had two tickets so doubled their windfall.  The extremely lucky £800,000 winner has asked to remain anonymous.

“It’s absolutely mental,”” they declared. “This is completely life-changing. I've never won anything in my life, and I've worked all my life for everything I've got." They then joked: “I'll be getting a call from my bank telling me there is something strange happening to my account."

Plans for their winnings include buying a brand new car and going on some dream holidays. The generous lottery winner will also be giving their family some treats.
