£402,919 Postcode Lottery Winner Hoping for More Good News
Winning a £402,919 Postcode Lottery prize was great news for a woman from Fenham in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. The lucky player is hoping for even better news soon, the final all-clear from cancer.
The retired antiques dealer has a rather suitable surname for a lottery winner. Innis Gamble was diagnosed with advanced stage melanoma in 2023.
Speaking about her win, the delighted winner said: “The world has opened! I'm walking on air. I'm literally floating at the moment and Dave (her husband) is holding me down, so I don't float away.”
Guardian Angel
The Postcode Lottery winner added: “I really do feel like I have a guardian angel now.” Two recent scans have produced good news and a third is imminent. Let’s hope that brings more good news for her.
They are also carers for Dave’s mother Marcella who is 102. A celebratory bag of chips was going to be enjoyed by them
Innis and her husband have already compiled a bucket list. Thanks to this Postcode Lottery win, Dave says: “It can all happen now.”
The couple were married at Wagner Cove in Central Park, New York with a stay in a honeymoon suite on Seventh Avenue. Now they want to go back to New York and might even stay there again.
Don’t forget the Carrot
There’s another good reason to return to New York. On their wedding day they enjoyed a horse and carriage ride. Dave joked: “We’ve got to go back to take a horse a carrot.” That’s something they forgot to do in 2016.
The couple also plan on going to Thailand but Innis has something important to do first. The Postcode Lottery winner wants to write her autobiography. English £1 million EuroMillions winner Desiree Home recently published her life story.
The book will include details of how she was adopted at birth. Not until the age of 52 did she find her birth mother, brother and sister. Innis also lost her first husband but found love again when making contact with Dave on a dating site.
