£333,333 Postcode Lottery Winner Begins Spending Spree

Although a “little bit” of her win will be saved, Angela Plant is going on a spending spree. The lucky player from Abbots Langley in Hertfordshire, England won £333,333 playing the Postcode Lottery.

The delighted winner has plenty of ideas on how to enjoy her Postcode Lottery winnings. They include several exotic holidays, one for her first grandchild who’s not even been born yet.

Her friends and family are going to be given several treats. They include a Greek wedding for her eldest son and a box or season ticket at Leeds United for her partner.

Go out and spend it

Speaking about her win, Angela said: “You don't want profit in the bank, you want to go out and spend it.”  Angela says she’d have been pleased if her win had only been £333. Then she was given her cheque and thought to herself “When are the threes going to end?'

It’s already been a big year for her as she and her partner Andrew Pope had a civil partnership ceremony this summer. They’ve been together for 40 years and after the ceremony went on a nine-week backpacking tour of Asia.

It’s something Angela couldn’t have done a few years ago. Having both of her knees replaced has changed her life and so will this Postcode Lottery windfall.

“I’d like to go there”

More overseas holidays are now being planned with Japan, China and Singapore likely destinations. “I’d like to be able to open a map  and say, ‘I’d like to go there,’ said the Postcode Lottery winner. “This opens up so many opportunities,” she added.  £1.02 million Postcode Lottery winner Tony   wants to go to an American golf tournament after his big win.

The past 12 months has had some downsides for her though with two friends passing away. Now she wants to treat those that she knows and joked they’ll have a good time spending some of her winnings.

Angela works in an old folk’s home and will continue to do so saying:. “It keeps my mind buzzing and I love it."
