£320,000 Postcode Lottery Winner to Become a Beekeeper
£320,000 Postcode Lottery Winner to Become a Beekeeper
Jonas from Moreton in the Wirral on Merseyside, England, is celebrating a £320,000 Postcode Lottery win. There’ll be no sting in this tale as he now wants to fulfil his ambition of becoming a beekeeper.
He currently works as a nurse but it’s always been his dream to keep bees. His win comes just three months after beginning to play the Postcode Lottery.
Geoffrey from Nottinghamshire had an even quicker Postcode Lottery win. He scooped £111,111 in the very first draw he entered.
Postcode Lottery winners receive an email informing them they’ve had a win of at least £1,000.. However, this lucky winner hadn’t read the email that had been sent. That meant he had no idea that they were coming to his home to present him with his prize.
Double delight
He won £320,000 as two Postcode Lottery tickets had been purchased. He joked: “I thought that if next door was going to win I might as well have more than them.”
Jonas was born on the Wirral but moved to London for work. He’s now moved back home after 30 years and is soon going to move to a new semi-detached house with his husband AJ.
Other plans for his windfall include a return trip to South Africa where he lived for a month when younger. Travelling around Europe is also on his wish list. At present, they don’t own a television and AJ has been wanting them to buy an expensive one and his dream will come true.
Off to Disney World for Shaun
Another local winner was Shaun and his wife Amiee who won £160,000. They want to use their Postcode Lottery winnings to buy a new car and take their three sons to Florida so they can visit Disney World.
Shaun works as a window cleaner and thought he’d only won £2,000 at most. He was already planning to celebrate his win with “a few beers” and planned on taking the next few days off work.
