£184m EuroMillions Win Claimed by UK Winner
UK history was made this week with a record £184,262,899.10 EuroMillions win in the Tuesday May 10 draw. The winner has already come forward to claim their fantastic prize.
The amount won beats the previous record UK win of £170.2 million in October 2019. That winner remained anonymous, will the same happen again with this win?
At least the win has been claimed. Earlier this week it was announced how a £1 million EuroMillions win by a player in Portsmouth, England was lost after no one came forward to accept their prize.
Record stays intact
The record EuroMillions win remains at €220 million, won in October of last year. That was won by a ticket sold in Tahiti. If Tuesday’s draw had ended in a rollover, a new record amount of €230 million would have been available in tonight’s draw.
That wasn’t the case though with the UK ticket being able to match the five main numbers and two Lucky Stars. The numbers drawn in Tuesday’s EuroMillions draw were: 03-25-27-28-29 and the two Lucky Stars 04 and 09. With a selection like that, it’s possible the winner used birthdays or anniversaries to choose their numbers. Either that or they just love numbers in the 20s.
Now that the winner has come forward, their claim must go through the validation process. This includes checks to ensure all the games rules terms and conditions have been adhered to. Once those checks have been carried out, a very special appointment will be made. That will be with one of Camelot’s winners’ advisers and the EuroMillions prize will be paid out.
Incredible news
Andy Carter is the senior winners’ advisors at Camelot. He celebrated the “incredible news” of the £184 million EuroMillions win. He said that their job now is to support the winner and “helping them start to enjoy their truly life-changing and record-breaking win.”
He added that it will be up to the winner to decide whether to go public. Without that we will never know who the winner is. Tonight’s EuroMillions draw has a £14 million jackpot.
