£100,000 Postcode Lottery Winner Can Finally Leave Home

Joshua Logsdail’s days living with his mother in North Hykeham in Lincolnshire, England are numbered. That’s because he’s just won a £100,000 Postcode Lottery prize.

It’s a big shock for him and was going to be an even larger one for his mother. That’s because she has no idea that her son played the Postcode Lottery.

Moving out but not away

Joshua has been living with his mother and it was her postcode that has won him £100,000. Now he’s planning to finally move out but he won’t be leaving the area as “I’m happy here.” Ann from Scunthorpe  in Lincolnshire won a £181,818 Postcode Lottery prize.

Not that he’ll be spending too much time in his next home. That’s because the 29-year-old Postcode Lottery player is planning to buy a car (and also pay for some driving lessons), a Leeds United season ticket and go travelling around the world.

He very nearly missed his cheque presentation as snow led to him getting stuck in traffic. His good luck continued and he got back home just before the camera crew arrived with his £100,000 Postcode Lottery cheque.

He already had a budget for each Christmas present he’ll buy his family members but joked: “I might spend a bit more now.” The Postcode Lottery winner added: “Looking after my mum is the most important thing.”

Financial security

Also celebrating a Postcode Lottery win is Stuart Wilde who lives across the road. He declared: “I never dreamt that I'd be stood in my garden with a £100,000 cheque. It doesn't happen to people like me." The Postcode Lottery winner says his win is “financial security for me and my family.”

His win was no tall story for the 6ft 8in photographer. He planned on getting on the phone to tell his wife Claire the news. The Postcode Lottery winner said with a big smile on his face: “I would tell her to sit down for the news, but she's so clumsy she'd probably fall off her chair anyway.”
