Prosecco O’clock for People’s Postcode Lottery Winners
Prosecco O’clock for People’s Postcode Lottery Winners
Six neighbours in the Welsh village of Llanharry are celebrating People’s Postcode Lottery wins. Three of them won £30,000 each but the others had two tickets, so their winnings went up to £60,000.
One of the double winners was a rather nervous Morag. “It’s quite astonishing, I’m trying to remember to breathe,” said the shocked People’s Postcode Lottery winner.
Street party?
Morag loves to take photographs of rock bands. Not surprisingly therefore she’s off to buy some new lenses for her camera. The fact that her neighbours have also been successful has pleased her. In fact, she’s planning a street party but before that has some Prosecco in the fridge to go through. It looks all her neighbours might be having “Prosecco o’clock” soon.
Gareth and his wife Clare didn’t know how much they’d won. They couldn’t believe it when told their People’s Postcode Lottery win was £60,000. Now a holiday is being planned and “a bit of work around the house.”
Time to get on a plane
Where will they go on holiday? Clare said they haven’t been on a plane in a while. Sounds like a family trip abroad is on its way. Since finding out about their lottery success the couple haven’t stopped singing and whistling, even while Gareth was out cycling.
For Nick and his partner Suzanne, it didn’t take them long to get a People’s Postcode Lottery win. They had already been playing at their previous home (winning £4,518 seven years ago) and only moved to their new one in January. Nick said: “I thought why not play with a ticket on this house as well?” That proved to be a very profitable idea.
Money tree
NHS worker Vanessa is delighted with her £30,000 People’s Postcode Lottery success. The keen gardener joked: “I've got my olive trees, hibiscus tree, azalea tree, and now my money tree!"
Vanessa is due to retire in August after working for nearly 34 years as an occupational therapist. Most of her win will go into her “pension pot.”
