Plans Aplenty for Postcode Lottery Winners

Ten players of the People’s Postcode Lottery are celebrating big wins. Two of them won £60,000 in the April 30 draw with the others winning £30,000. They all come from Old Whittington in Derbyshire, England.

Susan was one of the £60,000 winners. The shop assistant has only recently started playing the People’s Postcode Lottery again. This time she decided to buy two tickets and it’s achieved a double success for her.

Cruising and cocktails

Many people want a new home after a lottery win. This is only £60,000 so Susan is looking forward to getting a new shed. A cruise to the Caribbean in 2023 is a possibility and a few cocktails too.

Also winning £60,000 was William, who manages a local deli counter. His partner is Dorcas who admitted he though the People’s Postcode Lottery winners seen on the website were actors. The couple plan on going out for a steak dinner to celebrate. It’s not just good news for them, their dog is going to get some treats.

£30,000 winner Lorraine is also likely to be buying some treats. Not for her dog but her 11 grandchildren. The People’s Postcode Lottery win comes after a couple of difficult years. Her partner, David, said: “It’s about time you had some luck. Well done, sweetheart.”

Cakes on the way?

It certainly has been a tough time for Lorraine with a leg amputated and two strokes being suffered. She’ll be cheered up by the new kitchen her partner wants to get her. She joked: “He wants me cooking cakes again!”

On a more serious note, the People’s Postcode Lottery winner says she wants to buy a proper headstone and grave for her grandson who was born stillborn nearly 10 years ago.

For council worker Lyndsey, her £30,000 win will help pay for a house deposit. Lyndsey and her husband Joseph currently live in her mum and dad’s house. The move was made as they now have two daughters. They recently missed out on a bid for a house. Their friends told them something better was around and the corner and that’s just what has happened.
