Perfect Timing for Postcode Lottery Successes
Perfect Timing for Postcode Lottery Successes
There have been plenty of celebrations by over 400 neighbours in the Wigan village of Lowton in England. The northerners shared a £7.9 million Postcode Lottery win and for some it’s come just at the right time.
Definitely celebrating were Susan, John and her son Chris. They all play the Postcode Lottery and between them won nearly £120,000. John won £14,815 and Susan £44,445. However, Chris had four tickets and won £59,260.
Off to Florida
John and Chris received an invite to play the Postcode Lottery. Only then did they discover Susan was already buying tickets. “It’s been a day of shocks,” said Susan. The family are quickly jetting off to Florida to celebrate their success. “It’s going to be incredible,” added Susan
£29,630 was won by Patricia who had two tickets. She’s delighted for the whole community as Lowton is “quite a poor area and we've deserved some luck,” said the delighted Postcode Lottery player.
Great timing
Laura and Stephen each won £14,815 and their windfall has come at just the right time. The Postcode Lottery win came just days after the couple found out that Laura is pregnant with twins. It’s going to be a boy and a girl, said a delighted Laura. The couple already have two children. They found out about their lottery success the following day. No wonder Laura said: “We’re having a good week.”
Also expecting a baby later this year is Brogan. The practice nurse and her father both won a £14,815 Postcode Lottery prize. Brogan says her win will help go towards getting the house ready for when her baby is born.
Community carer Jan won £14,815 and so did her daughter, Suzanne. Jan has not had an easy time of late with months spent in hospital in intensive care. At one stage she was in a coma and her family informed Jan may only have hours to live. The ward staff helped her learn to walk and talk again. Some of her Postcode Lottery win will be donated to the hospital ward.
