People’s Postcode Lottery players celebrate big £3 million win in Lancashire

PEOPLE’S POSTCODE LOTTERY PLAYERS CELEBRATE BIG £3 MILLION WIN IN LANCASHIRE

A group of neighbours from Barrow in Lancashire, England, have shared a £3 million windfall from the People’s Postcode Lottery.Players from the LA14 4 neighbourhood in the Hawcoat area of Barrow gathered together last weekend at Park Sports Club to claim their shares of the winnings which were split between 296 residents. The biggest prizes of the day were paid out to full postcode LA14 4JY, and residents who had signed up on that street won £302,639 each from the People’s Postcode Lottery.One of those residents on Dane Avenue was Lynda Lowes, 69, and her neighbour John Hingley, 65, although found himself part of the winning celebration. There were two other People’s Postcode Lottery winners on their street, but they were unavailable to claim their prizes last weekend. A couple of neighbours from Greenock in Scotland were planning new cars and holidays after they each won £30,000 onthe People’s Postcode Lottery, while residents from Dorset were looking at travelling around the world after their big People’s Postcode Lottery Dream Holiday win.The remaining 192 winners in the greater People’s Postcode Lottery winning area won between £5,734 and £17,202, and Mrs Lowes was able to sum up the neighbourhood’s feelings about the win. “It’s unbelievable, I’m shocked,” she said, adding that when she first saw the winning postcode, she wasn’t even sure if it was hers.We’ve previously told you about other Lancashire residents, Annette and Andrew Dawson, who won their big EuroMillions prize while they were on holiday.Upon first look, when the winning postcode was flashed up on the big screen, Mrs Lowes said that she had to double check to make sure that she really was a People’s Postcode Lottery jackpot winner. The grandmother of five is already retired from the job as a receptionist at Liverpool House Surgery in Barrow, and she said that her family will definitely be benefitting from her win.“It’s so wonderful,” the lucky People’s Postcode Lottery winner said. “I’m going to treat my family.
