The lucky Lotto 47 winner has asked to remain anonymous.  We do know that he is aged 61 and has been playing lottery games for thirty years and finally he’s a lottery millionaire.

His winning ticket was purchased from the Family E-Z Mart in Prudenville. Another fact we know about the Lotto 47 winner is that he didn’t spend any time deciding which numbers to play. He knew exactly what his selection for the July 31 draw would be. They were 03-05-10-20-28-31 and those were also the six numbers that came out on that lucky day.

A loyal player

Since 1991 the Lotto 47 winner has been using the same numbers. He’s a regular player and over that period of time has rarely missed a draw. Playing the same selection for so long without a big win surely made him wonder if it was time to choose some different numbers. This is a loyal player though and he said that each time he decided against such a move. Now it’s paid off with this $18.41 million win.

Speaking to lottery officials, he recalled how his Lotto 47 win was discovered. “I checked my numbers before I went to bed the night of the drawing. When I recognized the set of numbers, I checked my ticket over at least a dozen times. I was shocked!"

He’s decided to receive his prize as a one-time lump sum cash payment of around $11.7 million. The Lotto 47 winner plans on sharing his windfall with his family. He will also make some charitable donations and save the rest.
