A man from North Carolina in the USA has seen his luck turn around completely as he won $150,000 on the Powerball lottery.Dennis Goodman decided that he was so unlucky in the lottery that he told his sister to buy her own ticket for the Powerball drawing last weekend because he thought she wouldn’t want his bad luck touching it. But then the Landis, North Carolina man’s luck changed when he checked his ticket after Saturday night’s drawing and saw that he’d won $150,000. Mr Goodman purchased his ticket from Love’s Travel Stop on Peeler Road in Salisbury, North Carolina, and he’ll receive just over $105,000 after taxes are withdrawn. A group of friends from Ottawa in Canada ignored the warning of bad luck on Friday 13^th to win $60 million on the Lotto Max earlier this year.Once the Powerball winnings are in the bank, Mr Goodman said that he plans to use his winnings to pay off some outstanding bills, get some dental work done and fix up some of his old cars.
