No Sleep for $1 million Weekday Windfall Winner

It can be really awkward when you can’t fall asleep. A man from Queensland, Australia was in that situation and that was before he discovered a $1 million Weekday Windfall win on October 18.

The Hervey Bay resident had been finding it difficult to get off to sleep. Still struggling, he decided to check to see if his Weekday Windfall ticket had been lucky. It sure had and he couldn’t believe it when finding out his ticket had won $1 million.

His was the only ticket that managed to become a division one winning entry in the draw, making him a millionaire.

Stressing all weekend

Now getting to sleep was really going to be difficult. He admits to “stressing all weekend” over his Weekday Windfall win. His mind kept thinking: “Is it real?”  

If it was, then he began to wonder “how do I receive the prize.” Hopefully it’ll be a worry that those who buy tickets at Lottery24 will one day have.

About 100 times

Overall, the lucky but rather disbelieving winner says he must have looked at his winning ticket “about 100 times.”

It wasn’t just going to be a sleepless night for him though. He woke his wife up to tell her about the Weekday Windfall win.  That didn’t prove to be an easy task though as he explained:  “It was 3.30am and she wasn’t having a bar of it. She didn’t believe it.”

Eventually his wife did believe what had happened though he’s still struggling himself and says it’s been a massive shock to his system.

It’s the latest Weekday Windfall lottery in the state of Queensland. Earlier this month, a woman had to stop her car when  she was told of a $1 million Weekday Windfall lottery win.

How will the $1 million Weekday Windfall win be used?  Plans for the winnings include buying a new car.  “I’d love to buy a large ute. One that I can put a caravan on,” said the jubilant winner who will also make sure their mortgage is paid off.
