Newly formed Syndicate Wins $1.7m Playing Saturday Lotto
About five weeks ago, a couple from Grafton in New South Wales, Australia, formed a lottery syndicate with a friend. It’s not taken long for them to be hugely successful with a $1.7 million win in the November 4 Saturday Lotto draw.
Why can’t I?
Why did the husband set up the syndicate? He’d been reading stories about lottery winners and felt a little bit envious of their successes. “I just thought, ‘if all these other people are winning, why can’t I?’” said the Saturday Lotto player.
The delighted player believes the Saturday Lotto win will “make our lives so much easier.” Plans are already being made as to how the windfall will be used. A holiday is already on the wishlist but where to and how will he and his wife get there? “We’ll be firing up the campervan and taking a holiday to celebrate. We’re not sure where we’re heading but who cares” he joked.
Top priority
For a while he’s been wanting to get a brand new car. Thanks to this Saturday Lotto win, that purchase can now be made as he says it’s a “top priority.”
Their winning Saturday Lotto ticket was bought from Grafton Mail News. That’s owned by Allan Worland who has been thrilled to hear they sold a division one winning ticket.
The news came through on Sunday morning and Mr Worland and his staff have been busy letting all their customers know about the big win, their first in a couple of years which has left them feeling “stoked.”
The store owner hopes that the win “brings them great happiness and allows them the luxury of making all their dreams come true.”
