A lucky man from Auckland in New Zealand is thanking his horoscope after winning half a million dollars in a big NZ Lotto prize.The winner, who chose to remain anonymous as he collected his NZ Lotto prize, is a Virgo, and he said that it was after reading his horoscope that his wife told him to buy a Lotto ticket. “My wife phoned me out of the blue and said ‘I’ve been reading your horoscope and it says you’re going to come into money – you should buy a NZ Lotto ticket today,’” he said.Smiling at NZ Lotto officials, the winner said, “Luckily I did as I was told.” He purchased his winning ticket from Ormiston Pak N Save but forgot all about it until a few days later when he was on his way out of the store after buying some groceries. On leaving, he noticed a sign in the window saying that the store had sold a Lotto First Division winning ticket worth $500,000, and he went straight home to see it if was his, just like another New Zealand man did when he realised that he’d won $1 million on the NZ Lotto and rushed home to wake up his wife.“I left the supermarket, went straight home and checked my ticket,” he told NZ Lotto officials. “It looked like I had all the numbers on one line, but I had to go and put some different glasses on to make sure I wasn’t seeing things.”Another New Zealand Lotto winner thanked his car for his $1 million win, and this week’s lucky winner admitted that while his horoscope definitely came true, he’s not sure whether it worked out the same for all of the other Virgos.
