Mystery Reveal By €75,000 Irish Lotto Winner

A great part of winning a big lottery prize is telling your loved ones about your amazing slice of luck. A player from Meath in Ireland found a unique way of revealing his €75,000 Irish Lotto win.

His big win came in the Irish Lotto draw held on March 8. When he checked his ticket, the player was shocked to discover it had matched five numbers and the bonus ball. How could he tell his loved ones his fantastic news? Another Irish player took three days to find out  he’d won a €6.75 million Irish Lotto jackpot.

He decided to go out and buy a cake and also purchased seven and five shaped candles. They were put on the cake and he took a photo of it with his phone and sent it to the family group chat.

“Who’s 75?”

His sister saw the photo but was a bit confused about what it meant and replied: “Who’s 75?”  Never did she imagine that it referred to a €75,000 Irish Lotto win, not someone’s age. When the meaning was finally explained, the lucky player says: “the commotion kicked off, the chat was in overdrive.”

Plans for his Irish Lotto win include helping his family. He also wants to go to a sunny destination for a holiday later in 2025.

Casual purchase

Also celebrating are a syndicate from Co Donegal in Ireland after a €1 million win on March 10. Their success came in the Daily Millions draw. The syndicate’s leader said they only play “now and again.”

He “casually bought a ticket“ when passing a shop and admitted he didn’t think much about it. An Irish family made a last-gasp purchase and  won a €14.67 million Irish Lotto jackpot.

It wasn’t until the day after the draw had taken place  that their ticket was checked. Finding out it had won €1 million left him in “a state of shock and disbelief.”

The syndicate members plan on spending some time thinking how best to spend their lottery win.
