The retailer that sold one of the two winning tickets for last month’s $400 million Mega Millions draw is due to receive their cash bonus this week.There were two winners in the draw which took place on March 18th and was the sixth largest US lottery jackpot, one in Florida and the other in Maryland. While we are still yet to hear any more details about the winners other than the states they live in, one of the retailers is set to receive their bonus from the Florida Lottery this week.The Florida Lottery will make a cheque presentation to the store owners of the Sunoco Gas Station at Merritt Island in Brevard County, gifting a reward worth $100,000 to the retailer who just happened to sell a winning Mega Millions ticket and make one customer very rich indeed.Whoever the Merritt Island winner is, they will receive a massive pay-out worth over $200 million when they finally come forward, that will be an estimated $112 million lump sum payment before taxes. This will mean around $74 million will be deposited into the winner’s account after taxes once they claim the lottery prize.While we are waiting for both the Florida and Maryland winners to come forward, lottery officials are not yet worried that the winners won’t appear, as the most recent Powerball winner revealed themselves just this week, a huge six weeks after his ticket matched the lottery numbers to win $425 million.
