A 30-year commitment to the Canadian Lotto 649 was worth it for an Ontario woman who won $1 million this January.“I watched the billion-dollar drawing on Tuesday night,” he explained, referring to the Mega Millions drawing which was worth over $1.6 billion and was won by a player in South Carolina. “I had used quick pick for my tickets, but I’d studied them a little. When the balls were drawn I thought I recognised one or two.”But even that night, the former store manager didn’t quite realise how lucky his Mega Millions ticket was, and the next morning he saw that his ticket had matched four out of five of the main numbers plus the Mega Ball. “It looked to me like a $10,000 win, but I wouldn’t believe until I took it to the store to make sure.
