A Maryland lottery winner won $7 million on the Cash4Life lottery after changing from the Mega Millions and Powerball games, while another Maryland woman chose a different game to her usual and ended up $20,000 richer thanks to a scratch card.And he was right, as the 54-year-old said that he took a stack of lottery tickets to a local Lottery retailer and scanned them on the self-service ticket checking machine. When the machine displayed a message directing him to claim his prize, the Powerball player took his ticket home to look it over. An Iowan lottery player also found out that she’d won big on the Powerball at a self-service ticket checker, after carrying the ticket around with her for five months.It was when he got home that the Maryland man looked at the Powerball results on his tablet and realised that he was actually a $50,000 winner. The windfall, he says, will help him to make sure that the business continues to succeed. “Starting a new business is tough, but this will help me get a little further down the road,” the Powerball winner said.
