Lottery Winners Distribute Christmas Luxury Hampers

Christmas is a time for giving and that’s just what a group of lottery millionaires have been doing. They grouped together to deliver over 100 Christmas luxury hampers to put some cheer into people’s lives after a difficult year.

The group of lottery winners have won over £26 million. The ongoing pandemic had made it difficult for them to plan the donation of the Christmas luxury hampers. Getting together in person wasn’t possible, so they formed their own WhatsApp group to make their plans. 

The group included Natalie Cunliffe from Blackpool. She won £1m on a National Lottery scratchcard four years ago. Since her win, she has given up her job working at the famous Blackpool Tower tourist attraction. She returned soon after though with her boyfriend who then proposed to her. They have since got married and now live in their dream home.

Celebrating the work of carers

Recently, Natalie delivered gifts to Age Concern Central Lancashire. The scratchcard winner had a personal reason for helping out. Her grandmother is in a care home suffering with dementia. “Carers are the ones that are with our loved ones when we can’t be, especially this year, so it’s just to show our thank you. You’re not unrecognised, you are doing an amazing job.” 

One person receiving a luxury hamper from a lottery winner was Norma Kirby, who is a carer for her husband Barry. She was delighted and said it was a “lovely surprise” and helped relieve the loneliness she often feels.

Christmas Joy

Suzanne Carr is the SEO at Age Concern Central Lancashire. Speaking about the donation of the hampers, she commented: “We’re extremely honoured to be chosen by National Lottery winners to receive these beautiful festive hampers and we know that our fantastic carers will truly appreciate a spot of early Christmas joy!”

Also helping out were £12 million UK Lotto winners Sharon and Nigel Mather from Bowden in Cheshire, England. Michelle and Kevin Jones from Crewe in England won £6m four years ago and have also helped in this great gesture from the National Lottery.
