Total joy nearly turned into absolute misery for a scratchcard player from Maryland, USA.  He won $1.05 million and then couldn’t find his ticket. Thankfully there is a happy ending to this story.

The lucky player, who is going under the name ‘Extreme Green Dream’ won a total of $1,045,588 on the ‘Extreme Green FAST PLAY’ scratchcard.

“I went crazy.”

He claimed his winnings on July 29 but it was a win that could very well not have happened. His wife had been complaining about how much he’d been spending on scratchcards. Therefore, instead of buying a $30 scratchcard he bought a $20 one instead and the rest is history.

How would you react if you had such a big win? The largest win this player had previously had was $1,500 on a Keno ticket. When realising his latest purchase had won just over a million dollars, he admits: “I looked at it and my eyes rolled back in my head!”

Where is it?

A few friends were initially told about his big win. He then phoned his wife to tell her about his incredible scratchcard win. ‘Extreme Green Dream’ rushed home but then ran into problems as his wife explained: “When he came home, he couldn’t find his ticket.”

Just where was it?  After a bit of a panic he remembered leaving his wallet on the centre console of his car.  A player from Iowa, USA, also had a scare  when momentarily losing his $500,000 winning scratchcard.

Many winners retire after a big win but this lucky player is already enjoying his retirement. Even so he does a few jobs now and then to give himself something to do. Despite this huge scratchcard win he says that will continue.

He doesn’t have any lifestyle changes planned at present. Nor will he put a stop to playing lottery games as he enjoys the thrill of it.
