Just What Car Will a $2.6m Saturday Gold Lotto Winner Buy?
Sometimes it’s not easy to get to sleep. When we do manage it, there can be some very strange dreams. A man from the Gold Coast in Australia is often in that situation. However it’s all changed since he won a $2.6 million Saturday Gold Lotto jackpot on July 15.
Now he admits that getting to sleep is easy now he’s a millionaire. When he’s sleeping, his dreams are about which car he’ll soon be buying thanks to his Saturday Gold Lotto win.
In total, the Queenslander won $2,666,110.76. No wonder he described his Saturday Gold Lotto win as “absolutely mind-blowing.” When the lottery company called him to confirm his great win, the lucky player responded with a big cheer.
Struggling to Comprehend it
As is often the case it was going to take a while for the news to sink in. The Saturday Gold Lotto winner said he was “struggling to comprehend it all” and thought the experience was “surreal.”
His ticket was one of two that matched all the numbers in the July 15 Saturday Gold Lotto draw. Still struggling to believe what had happened, he admitted: “Until I see the prize land in my bank account, I don’t think my brain will fully accept that this has happened.”
Not that he’s been believing a big lottery win was never going to happen. He revealed that for the past year-and-a-half he’s been saying: “I will win the lottery.” Now it’s happened and he said: “Well, it goes to show it can work!”
Big decisions
Now he has some big decisions to make. One has already been made as he’s not going to retire. However, he will be cutting down the number of hours he’ll be working. “Two or three days a week sounds perfect,” he’s decided.
One decision he hasn’t made yet is what make of car he’s going to be buying. “It’s what I think about as I doze off at night,” said the Saturday Gold Lotto winner. “You could say it’s a dream come true,” he added.
