Hotelier Darren Hammond, 47, from Ambleside in England, decided to choose a Lucky Dip ticket and managed to win £381,582.80 in the EuroMillions draw held on Friday December 12. Now he plans on having the best Christmas ever with his wife, Debra and three children.The lucky winner managed to match the five main numbers and one of the Lucky Stars. The winning numbers in the December 12 EuroMillions draw were: 02-15-28-31-37 and the Lucky Stars 04 and 06.Darren, an hotelier, said: “I played online and received an email to say… ‘Congratulations you have won’. When I logged into my account I thought I had won £381. It took several minutes for it to sink in that I had actually won more than £381,000. I just didn’t see the extra numbers initially.”“I had to get Debra to check the numbers as I thought I was dreaming. When we realised we really had won £381,582.80 we just screamed with delight.It must have been their lucky week, because in the same draw Debra managed to win £10. As Darren says: “not quite a win of the same size, but it was certainly a lucky night for us!”The lucky EuroMillions winner also works as a part-time fire-fighter with Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service. He added: “The win has come at the perfect time, just before Christmas. There will be lots of extra Christmas presents for the children and probably a few extra for my wife too. 2014 will be the best Christmas we have ever had.”Meanwhile a £1m winner from the EuroMillions draw held on November 28 has yet to come forward and claim their prize. The winning EuroMillions ticket was purchased in Dumfries and Galloway and the ticket holder has until May 27, 2015 to claim their winnings.A National Lottery spokesman said: “We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings.
