Irish Lotto Jackpot Win worth €10.2m Claimed

The lucky ticket holder who scooped the €10.2m Irish Lotto jackpot in the Saturday, February 23 draw has claimed their fantastic winnings.

First Jackpot since December

The lucky ticket was able to successfully match 03-19-21-29-31-35 and the Bonus Ball. It’s the largest win in the Irish Lotto since 2017. Overall, there have now been 21 players who have won a jackpot of over €10m in the draw. The jackpot had been climbing and climbing since the last jackpot win on December 19.In total the jackpot win was €10,288,699 and on Monday just before 3 pm, the winner contacted the National Lottery. Plans are now being made for the winner to collect their Irish Lotto jackpot win in the coming days.

Store owner Barry Thompson simply couldn’t believe it when told the good news on Monday morning.

Biggest Win for Store Owner

Mr Thompson has owned the store since 2008 but this Irish Lotto jackpot win is the “biggest win we have had.” He had heard the news of the big win but “had no idea it had been sold in my store.” News of the win has spread and there has been an “unreal” sense of excitement. He has reason to celebrate too as the store will receive €15,000 for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.The jackpot was nearly shared with another Limerick Lotto player. They matched five of the main balls and the Bonus Ball, but will only take home €87,874.
