IRISH EUROMILLIONS PLAYERS SHARED AN EXTRA SPECIAL PRIZE LAST WEEKEND

Ten Irish EuroMillions players will have found themselves winners of an extra special prize last weekend when €1 million was earmarked for an Ireland Only Raffle. The Ireland Only Raffle was played last Friday, October 26th, and EuroMillions players who bought their tickets in Ireland will have been automatically entered the raffle with a unique code printed onto their tickets. Ten winning codes were selected in the draw, with each ticket holder winning €100,000 at the beginning of an Irish bank holiday weekend. A family from the southeast of Ireland were delighted when they won over €1 million on a EuroMillions Ireland-Only Raffle earlier this year.As Irish lottery players woke up on Saturday morning, speculation was rife as to who had won the €100,000 share in the Ireland Only Raffle prize, with players across the country being urged to check their tickets. It was revealed in the local Dublin news that one of the 10 EuroMillions Raffle prizes was sold in the capital at S & T Bennet Ltd in Killester, where surely EuroMillions players are by now eagerly checking their tickets. Another Dubliner recently won €500,000 thanks to a EuroMillions Plus drawing but almost didn’t follow through the purchase of her winning ticket. The ten tickets were sold all the way around Ireland, with two of them being purchased online, two in Louth and two in Galway. Other winners were based in Monaghan, Tipperary and Waterford as well as the Dublin area that we’ve already mentioned. Earlier this month we told you about a woman from Edmonton in Canada who won a $1 million guaranteed Lotto 649 raffle prize but had trouble believing it, while a couple from Kansas won $100,000 earlier this year on a Holiday Millionaire Raffle game which was scheduled by the Kansas Lottery.A spokesperson for the National Lottery said that the EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle was designed in order to spread luck around and share the dream of winning big, just like Spain’s New year ‘El Nino’ lottery which often spreads huge prizes across the country. The National Lottery official continued: “While the mega jackpot of €70 million was not won, ten of our players are very happy today.”Each player will collect a cheque worth €105,000 as their special Ireland Only raffle prize will be added into the regular raffle prize worth €5,000. None of the ten winners have come forward yet, but we bet they can’t wait to get spending.Try your hand at the lottery game and purchase your tickets online at Lottery24.com.
