Ignored Advice Leads to £160,000 Postcode Lottery Win

Ignoring the advice of your fiancé isn’t always advisable. However, for Jack from Norwich, England, it’s led to a £160,000 People’s Postcode Lottery win.

The veterinary nurse had been told by his fiancé AJ to stop playing the People’s Postcode Lottery. His reason was they had other bills to pay. After finding out about their big win, it’s a good job Jack decided to carry on playing.

Wedding of our dreams

2025 will see the couple get married and Jack says “we’ll have the wedding of our dreams.” They’ve already booked what they want for their big day but “a few surprises” might now be added.

AJ doesn’t seem too upset about his fiancé ignoring his advice. “Don't listen to me! That's what will be in the vows,” he joked.

What will the music be when they walk down the aisle? AJ (who is a financial adviser) suggested playing the Postcode Lottery theme tune. It already promises to be an unorthodox ceremony with their  dachshund Harry and Labradoodle Bertie as the ring-bearers.

Forever friends

Also celebrating £160,000 Postcode Lottery win are neighbours Sophie and Laura. Sophie has been friends with Laura since they were just 12.

All week she’d be making plans with Laura with plenty of walks around their village. “We can do some really cool stuff together,” said the Postcode Lottery winner.

The mother-of-two is also looking forward to taking her family on holiday. Greece and Cyprus are at the top of her list.

Before that she planned to celebrate with a day out at Newmarket races. She’s a big horse racing fan just like  £2.7 million UK Lotto winners Elaine and Derek Thompson.

Cancelled?

Winning was a shock to Laura as she thought her Postcode Lottery ticket had been cancelled. The payments weren’t on her direct debits list but then she realised PayPal was being used.

Now she plans to finish renovating her garden and then upgrade  their already booked holiday to Florida. Her children will be able to fulfil their dream of swimming with dolphins.
