Humpty Doo Syndicate Wins $35 million Oz Lotto Jackpot

A syndicate of ten players have won a $35 million Oz Lotto jackpot. They come from the wonderfully named Humpty Doo in the Northern Territories in Australia.Their ticket was the only division one winner in the Oz Lotto draw held on April 13. It’s more good news for the Northern Territory as this is their fourth division one win in 2021.The syndicate really was lucky in this draw. In addition to their big win, they also had 119 other wins in lower divisions. In total, their win was $35,093,777.25. That means each syndicate member will receive $3,509,377.73.

Oh my God!

Some of the Oz Lotto winners only discovered their amazing win when being called by the lottery company. “Oh my god! Oh my god!” was the understandable reply of one of the winners. “My goodness, I never thought I would receive this call,” added one of the rather shocked female syndicate members. The lottery winner said the win “couldn’t have come at a better time,” and is planning on buying a new house.

Another was so shocked they said they needed a cup of tea to calm themselves down. The winning numbers in the April 13 Oz Lotto draw were: 07-23-30-33-34-36-45 and the Supplementary Numbers 16 and 40.

Ticket Nearly not Bought

It’s a jackpot that nearly didn’t happen. One syndicate member said they nearly didn’t buy an Oz Lotto ticket. Her spending plans include upgrading her car and when possible, “travel around the whole world.” Finding it hard to stop shaking, she couldn’t believe her multi-millionaire status. “ I don’t think I will ever stop crying. I need to compose myself,” she added.

The winning tickets were purchased from the Humpty Doo Newsagency. The store manager, Helen is delighted at the news of the big win. She revealed that the syndicate is called Golden Oz and had only been going for a few months.

“We’re so happy for them and wish them all the best! I’m sure they’ll enjoy it,” the store manager said.
